Texas actor accused of hitting police officer with crutch during riot in Capitol

According to the FBI, an aspiring actor from Texas is charged with using a crutch to defeat a police officer during the riot in Capitol Hill.

Luke Coffee, 41, is facing charges of assaulting a federal law enforcement officer with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds for taking part in a riot that stormed the building on January 6, according to ‘ a criminal charge obtained by the Daily Beast.

Coffee was identified as the man seen in videos wearing a cowboy hat, camouflage jacket and blue bandana while wearing a crutch on the Capitol steps, the indictment reads.

According to the FBI, he can also be seen holding the object over his head before charging a crowd of DC and Capitol police officers.

The charge further alleges that he put a policeman on the chest and head with the crutch and that the weapon was then handed over by the rioters, who used it to attack other officers.

Coffee’s social media pages show that he’s a supporter of Donald Trump and that he believes QAnon’s conspiracy theories.

The day before the riot, Coffee said in one YouTube video that “Hell is going to break out tomorrow,” the Daily Beast reported.

After the riot, Coffee continued his tours online, saying, ‘I was ready to die last night. We thought we were, we were completely gassed. And I literally thought I was gassed to death like in Nazi Germany, a Jew who was gassed to death. Okay, ”according to the Dallas News Central News.

Coffee has appeared in several TV shows, including ‘Murder Made Me Famous’, ‘Friday Night Lights’, ‘Las Vegas’ and others, reads his IMDB page.

The Justice Department has charged more than 200 people with storming the Capitol during an uprising in which five people were killed, including a Capitol police officer.
