Tesla uses three free months ‘full self-management’ to boost year-end sales

  • Navigate on Autopilot: Automatically drive from the freeway ramp to the exit, including interchanges and slowing down passing cars.

  • Auto Lane Change: automatic lane changes while driving on the highway.

  • Autopark: both parallel and perpendicular spaces.

  • Call: your parked car will find you everywhere in a parking lot. Really.

  • Traffic light and stop sign control: auxiliary stop at traffic controlled intersections.

While Musk recently said the subscriber package will be available early next year, the technology has offered fluctuating prices for the last few months. While Tesla wants to reach the record delivery targets by the end of the year, it is becoming an incentive.

However, not everyone is happy about the offer, especially because of how Tesla advertises its “advanced safety and comfort feature” of the Autopilot and the “Full Self-Driving” technology. As noted on the Tesla website slightly smaller: “The features currently activated require active drivers supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.”

NTSB member Jennifer Homendy notes the difference in a thread tweetsand said ” Full self-driving ‘indicates that the vehicle can now drive itself, without the input of a human operator. That’s not true. There must be precautions to prevent such misleading claims. ”
