Tesla Model S prototype with a refreshing design that is noticeable in nature

A Tesla Model S vehicle with a new refresh design looks in nature amid the shutdown of the Model S / X production.

Tesla Model S Design Refresh

Over the past few months, we’ve been reporting extensively on rumors of a possible renewal of Model S and Model X has been on the rise recently – especially as Tesla has announced that the Model S Plaid will require several major changes.

In December, we also reported that Tesla significantly increased the delivery timeline and price of Model S and Model X in March.

Furthermore, we recently learned that Tesla has extended the closure of the Model S / X production holiday until early January. Some believed that the car manufacturer was updating the production line to produce a new version of the electric sedan.

Back in 2018, we reported that Tesla was undergoing a significant overhaul of the interior design for Model S and Model X planned at the time for the summer of 2019.

This refresh has been delayed because Tesla has focused all its resources on building Model 3 production, but now many people think that maybe it’s time for Tesla to finally update the Model S design, and maybe the Model X, at the same time.

New Tesla Model S prototype spotted

The Youtube channel ‘The Kilowatts’ adds to the rumors of an impending update footage of a Tesla Model S prototype with a new design seen in Palo Alto near Tesla’s headquarters.

They posted a video of the observation today:

As you can see, the vehicle offers several changes, including a wider body, new diffuser at the rear, chrome-plated chrome on most finishes, new headlights and maybe even slightly updated wheels – even though it looks a lot like Tesla’s existing Arachnid -wheels.

Although it clearly contains an updated design and is not due to third party changes, as the vehicle has manufacturer plates, it is not clear if it is a prototype of a new version of the production Model S with a refreshed design or simply a new prototype of the Model S Plaid, which is only expected late this year.
