Tesla Model 3 Vs Polestar 2 Highway Test Until Battery Dies

We’ve said time and time again that you can’t just rely on EPA-rated series alone. To better understand how much size an EV will have, you need to look at many different tests. This Tesla Model 3 versus Polestar 2 series comparison test paints a picture of how real world tests compare to standardized tests.

Carwow introduces the new Polestar 2 all-electric feedback against two different versions of the Tesla Model 3: the twin-engine four-wheel drive Model 3 Performance and the single-engine rear-wheel drive Standard Range Plus.

According to the Carwow, the Polestar 2 has a range of 292 miles. The Model 3 Standard Range Plus is rated at 278 miles and the Model 3 Performance has a range of 352 miles.

It is important to note that Carwow is based abroad, and it does not refer to the EPA test cycle. Instead, the estimates are based on the WLTP test cycle, which is different.

According to the EPA, the Polestar 2 Series is only 233 miles. The Model 3 Standard Range Plus has an EPA estimated range of 263 miles and the Model 3 Performance comes in at 315 miles.

Carwow begins its test with all cars fully loaded. It drives them constantly on the M25 in London until they have no battery power. It’s a long and tedious test, but it’s definitely an important one, and we appreciate Carwow’s endurance.
