(Reuters) – Tesla Inc. has appealed to the US National Labor Relations Board to violate U.S. labor law and ordered the agency to remove a tweet from CEO Elon Musk .

The manufacturer of electric cars filed a petition with the U.S. Court of Appeal in New Orleans on Friday to review the ruling and order of NLRB on March 25.

In the petition, Tesla asked the court to review the order and grant Tesla “any further relief that the court deems just and equitable.”

Last month, the NRLB ordered Tesla to remove Musk from the tweet and post a notice of the illegal tweet at all its facilities nationwide and include language that says, “WE WILL take appropriate steps to ensure that Musk comply with our requirements. “

In the 2018 tweet, Musk writes: “Nothing stops the Tesla team at our car factory from voting. Can do it tmrw if they want. But why pay your unions and give up no stock options? Our safety record is twice as good as when the factory was UAW and everyone is already getting healthcare. ”

The NLRB also instructed Tesla to offer one former employee reinstatement as well as 2017 rules prohibiting the distribution of union literature in its non-working parking lot, and rules prohibiting the distribution of unions, pamphlets and pamphlets without first get permission, prohibited.
