Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s mouth-to-mouth strategy bears fruit in China

Tesla Giga Shanghai, Vice President of Foreign Affairs, Grace Tao, shared the results of a rather interesting survey, which showed that Elon Musk’s word-of-mouth marketing strategy is also effective in China. Nearly 1,000 car owners took part in the survey, and more than 90% of participants said they would recommend buying a Tesla from their friends.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has always preferred a word-of-mouth marketing strategy over regular ads, advertisements, etc. It has been effective so far, including vehicles manufactured in Tesla Giga Shanghai.

Tesla produced more than 180,000 vehicles and delivered nearly 185,000 cars in the first quarter of this year, showing significant growth compared to Q1 2020. Giga Shanghai probably contributed significantly to Tesla’s impressive numbers.

“We are rapidly increasing our production capacity to the highest level,” Tesla China officials said. Weibo account, apparently talking about the performance of the company as a whole.
