Tensions are apparently rising between Sen. Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) and Governor Andrew Cuomo (DN.Y.). According to a New York Post article on Sunday, the two have a ‘best relationship’.
A Democrat insider reported in the spring that there was a huge tension between Schumer and Cuomo over key coronavirus legislation.
Cuomo’s government even threatened to sue the federal government after he claimed that stimulus legislation, which Schumer took a large part in the construction, did not do enough for New York.
“If Washington does not provide the fair share of funding to the state of New York, we will sue because I cannot represent the people of this state in good faith and know that they are being harmed,” the Democratic governor said. . . “And know that they are being treated unfairly.”
COVID showed us low tide in America.
It exposed the ugliness that lay beneath it.
The racism, inequalities and inequality.
In NYS, we will ensure that no New Yorker is left behind in the distribution of vaccines.

However, with the move from Senator Schumer to the Senate majority leader, he can now work harder to appease the governor.
