Telegram tackles Clubhouse with Voice Chat 2.0

The latest Telegram update offers major improvements to the Voice Chat feature that was introduced to users late last year. The new version, called Telegram Voice Chats 2.0, extends Voice Chat support to Channels and introduces some new features to enhance the Voice Chat experience.

The new features of Telegram Voice Chat were spotted in a beta update earlier this month. Now the features finally start with the latest stable version. Following the latest update, Channel administrators may have the opportunity to host voice chats. To do this, the administrator will need to open the profile of any group or channel, click on the three-dot icon, and then select the new “Start Voice Chat” option.

The update also provides a new Recorded Chats feature that allows group and channel administrators to record audio of voice chats and publish it to the group / channel for members who missed the live event. The recorded chats will be available within saved messages.

Furthermore, Telegram’s Voice Chats get a new feature from Raise Hand to help muted participants easily indicate that they want to talk. Admins will see a new animation when a contestant uses the Raise Hand option. When you tap it, a pop-up window opens with the option to allow the participant to talk, open a conversation, or delete the participant.

The update also provides an option to help administrators share invitation links to Voice Chats. With the setting, managers can create separate links for speakers and listeners. Admins will also have the option to add titles to Voice Chats to help members see the topic of conversation before joining.

Lastly, the latest Telegram update also includes an option to help users choose their personal account or channel account while joining voice chats. Along with these Voice Chat enhancements, Telegram gets some extra features with the latest update. You can read all about this by following this link.
