A 17-year-old boy was taking a drunken tumble down a flight of stairs when sheriff’s deputies raided a crowded illegal ‘bottle club’ in Tribeca, authorities said.
“When questioned, he told deputy sheriff that he drank alcohol he had bought at the party,” officials said of the child, who was ‘visibly intoxicated’ and had to be taken to the New York Presbyterian Downtown Hospital. word.
It was a wild party even before sheriffs stormed the location, in Harrison Street on the corner of Hudson Street, around 11pm on Friday – after seeing about 40 people trying to perform in the queue.
More than 123 people were on the top floor and “drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and wore no masks,” New York Sheriff Joseph Fucito said in a news release.
Deputies arrested the club’s alleged host, Kurt David, 30, of Roslyn, NY, and charged him with selling liquor to someone under 21 and violating pandemic emergency restrictions at large gatherings.
An accused bartender, two DJs and a party employee accused of selling 3.5 grams of marijuana on the premises were also incensed.
The 17-year-old, whose name was not released, escaped arrest, even though it was not the punishment. “Deputies stayed with the minor until his parents picked him up,” Fucito said.
