LeBron James who tweeted ‘you are next’ to one of the officers who responded to the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio, is part of a ‘pattern’ of behavior by left-wing sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told Fox News Primetime on Wednesday.
“The left is constantly following up on police officers, attacking and demonizing them … often before the facts are known, often before there is evidence of what happened,” Cruz told host Ben Domenech, “but their immediate response, when also an incident is that police officers are wrong.
“And in this case, ‘you are next’ can certainly be interpreted by some, even as a call to violence. I think that was an extremely irresponsible message for LeBron James to send out.”
Cruz noted that James, 36, ignored the fact that Columbus police released footage of body photos showing Bryant attacking another woman with a knife.

“By any measure, it was a volatile situation,” the senator said. ‘The woman who was killed was carrying a knife, was violent, and apparently threatened the [lives] of others. It may be possible during an investigation that this police officer saved the life of a potential victim of a knife attack, and we should not come to that conclusion. ‘
The Texas legislature added that the Ohio government should rightly investigate the shooting further, but the fact deprives the rush for verdict of high-ranking people like James
“The facts need to be determined, but the left does not care about the facts, they care about demonizing and attacking law enforcement, and I think that is wrong,” he said.
James later deleted the “you’s next” tweet and replaced it with a short thread trying to explain his feelings.
“I’m so tired of seeing black people killed by the police. I took down the tweet because it’s used to create more hatred,” James said. “[This is] all over the system and they always use our words to create more racism. ‘

James ‘tweet follows responses from people like Senator Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, who wrote that’ while reading the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, Columbus police shot dead a sixteen-year-old girl. Her name was Ma ‘Khia Bryant. She must live now. ‘
Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., Tweeted that “Black girls deserve to grow up and become women.”
