While James Harden and Jrue Holiday are trading and Giannis Antetokounmpo is now on a supermax extension, Bradley Beal is the NBA’s biggest star who could possibly hit the market in the near future, given the Washington Wizards’ ongoing battle. Beal could become a free agent after the 21-22 season, which could lead to the Wizards trading him.
“This is what everyone in the league is talking about,” Brian Windhorst said on his podcast. “There are drivers out there … I’m just telling you, I’m talking to them … talking about moves they can make to enter this trading date, or moves they can make now to make themselves possible offers an even better Bradley Beal offer than is currently happening, whether it’s in March or in August.
“There are so many people watching this, even though, to my knowledge, he has not requested anything.”
The Wizards have a record of 3-11 on the season, but Beal has a positive plus / minus in the minutes he has played. Beal is also the leader in the NBA with 35.4 points per game.
