New Shadow Pokémon
Team GO Rocket Grunts turns the following Pokémon into Shadow Pokémon: Swinub, Nosepass, Aron, Spheal, Lileep, Anorith, and more.
New Grunt Line Ups
Team GO Rocket Grunts also had different Pokémon teams during and after the event. Look out for more fun PokéStops and Team GO Rocket balloons than usual!
Team GO Rocket Gift Stickers
Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders during the event for the chance to receive a Team GO Rocket Leader Gift sticker.
Wild Spawns
Look out for Pokémon like Golbat, Koffing, Ariados, Qwilfish, Sneasel, Houndour, Nuzleaf, Stunky, Skorupi and Venipede that occur more frequently in the wild!
New Pokémon in 12 km of eggs
Strange eggs will hatch different Pokémon during and after the event, such as Qwilfish, Larvitar, Corphish, Absol, Skorupi, Sandile, Scraggy, Pawniard and Deino.

The Team GO Rocket Timed Research Challenge starting during the Johto Celebration event will continue during this event and will reward an encounter with the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh who knows the exclusive attack earthquake!
