Urban is perhaps one of the greatest Swifties out there, calling the title ‘Lover’ from her 2019 album ‘so beautifully written’ and ‘so beautifully crafted’. He later told Billboard during the 2020 Grammy Awards that he considered Swift ‘one of the greatest songwriting periods’.

Swift’s upcoming album features remakes of the original Fearless songs, along with six “From the Vault” songs that have never been released before, including “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” “Don’t You” and “Bye Bye Baby.” In late March, she released ‘You All Over Me (From the Vault)’ with Maren Morris.

Fearless (Taylor’s version) will be released on April 9th.

On Friday, singer Swifties challenged to decode the new song titles with a video clip full of Easter eggs. “The safe door is about to come loose just as you would think I am after watching this video,” she tweeted. “Level: expert. Happy decoding!”

Swift announced her intention to re-record her first six albums – released by Big Machine Label Group between 2006 and 2017 – following the acquisition of her master recordings by Scooter Braun. Swift tried to buy back her masters years ago before the sale, and last November began recording her back catalog again.

“It’s going to be fun because it’s going to feel like you’re free again and taking back mine,” Swift said. Billboard in 2019 to re-record her catalog. ‘When I created [these songs], I did not know what they would become. Going back and knowing that it means something to people is actually a really nice way to celebrate what the fans have done for my music. ‘

Fearless was Swift’s first album to reach the Billboard 200 charts and spent 11 consecutive weeks at number 1. The album also earned Swift her first Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year; she later won the same award with 2014s 1989, and took home her third album of the year trophy in March Folklore.
