Taylor Swift is embarking on the battle that her fans started with Netflix – and cut one of its hit shows for a sexist and misogynistic joke aimed at her dating life.
Taylor fired back at the streaming service and the writers of ‘Ginny and Georgia’ on Monday morning over the final Sunday night in which Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) arguing about relationships. Ginny said, “What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.”

Well, Taylor does not laugh. She says: “2010 called and he wants to give back his lazy, deeply sexist joke. How about the fact that we stop humiliating hard-working women by defining this horse as a fonny?”
Swift’s fans are also being watched … #RespectTaylor started tending overnight, and one fan tweeted: “It does not sit right with me [that] Netflix has two Taylor Swift projects on their platform and it’s good to treat her like that !!! RESPECT TAYLOR SWIFT. “
Yes, Taylor remembers that too, and her tweet even refers to her “Miss Americana” special on Netflix. Suffice it to say: Netflix has an unfortunate partner in Taylor and a bunch of angry viewers … AKA the Swifties.
