Tampa pop-up clinics offer single-shot vaccine before expanding suitability

To make the vaccine easily accessible to those who want it before the vaccinations expand for Monday, the city of Tampa is hosting pop-up clinics throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, two hours before the opening of the premises in Curtis Hixon Park was formed, as no appointment was required to receive the vaccine at the pop-up clinics.

Many who are currently eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine chose to get their chance this weekend before expanding the suitability Monday. At the beginning of next week, the vaccine is available to all adults 18 years and older. For those who prefer to get the Pfizer vaccine, it is available for those 16 and older.

Pop-up clinics are also offered on Sunday. No appointment is required to receive the vaccine, and it is dispensed on a first-come-first-served basis.

The clinics are held in Curtis Hixon Park, Mary McLeod Bethune Homes and The Belmont Heights Estates. The clinic will run from 10:00 to 18:00, or until the last 400 doses are up.

The sites distribute the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
