Take-Two CEO claims players are ready for $ 70 games

Zelnick mentions that “players were ready” for the price increase, as the publisher “offered a variety of extraordinary experiences and a lot of playability”. He also mentioned that we have not seen any price increase since 2005.

Zelnick went on to state that the publisher deals with the cost of each title on a case-by-case basis. He hesitates to mention whether all future titles will cost $ 70. “We haven’t said anything about the price of other titles so far, and we tend to do title-by-title announcements,” Zelnick explained. He continued, ‘but I think our view is [that we want to] always delivers more value than we ask. ”

The CEO mentioned that the publisher wants to make sure that consumers feel that they are getting something in return for the price increase and that the publisher is delivering its games. “So we always want to make consumers feel that we are delivering a lot more than we are asking for in return, and that also applies to our current consumer spending,” Zelnick said. “We are an entertainment business, we are here to captivate and engage consumers. If we do, monetization follows.”
