T-Mobile launches a real unlimited 5G plan without a barrier

The Uncarrier is available today with a new cellular plan that contains truly unlimited data without slowing down. While this may sound strange at first, the “unlimited plans” of most U.S. transportation companies are indeed suffocated after a certain amount of data. T-Mobile’s new unlimited 5G plan also includes support for streaming 4K video and a solid hotspot allowance.

Noted by The Verge, T-Mobile today unveiled its two latest plans in a blog post. The more interesting of the two is the new “Magenta MAX” unlimited 5G plan.

T-Mobile says it is the first US service provider to “deliver unlimited premium data – both 4G LTE and 5G on your smartphone, so you can not be slowed down by how much you use.”

The Magenta MAX plan is the replacement for the previous Magenta Plus and will be officially launched on February 24 (available to consumers and small businesses).

Here’s a look at the features of Magenta MAX (on the right):

For the launch of the new MAX plan, the Uncarrier is offering it at $ 47 per month (usually $ 57 / month).

T-Mobile also wants to encourage consumers to leave AT&T and Verizon with its ‘zero cost to switch’ program. In essence, you can set up your own eligible device for free and get up to $ 650 to pay off your remaining hardware balance with AT&T or Verizon.
