Swizz Beatz applauded his old friend and music partner DMX … and said he lived to help others and that they were in pain.
Swizz, who soared with X on ‘Ruff Riders’ … recorded a moving tribute to his longtime friend and called him a prophet … a unique individual who never flashed the riches of wealth because it was not important to him. Swizz says X’s purpose in life was to comfort people, despite his own, relentless pain.
He says DMX has suffered every day since they met. And Swizz says there’s a reason … ‘He took everyone’s pain and made it his.’
The tribute is heartbreaking – Swizz says: ‘He will go to jail to escape his pain. This is how much pain my brother had every day … He would win an award with an American Music Prize, just name it and did not understand why he deserved it because he knew and he felt that other people it deserves more than he. He never lived himself. ‘
And there it is … Swizz says DMZ was never sold out, not even close – “Everyone threw millions of dollars. You could not buy DMX. You could not buy him, he was never for sale. She “Loyalty he loved was never for sale. His family was never for sale. His integrity was never for sale. Maybe you can learn something from him. He taught me a lot.”
Swizz says he cried 50 times before conveying his message … a message to a man who was a true humanitarian person. And, unlike many celebs, “he did more charity than probably every artist I know. The only difference with his charity was that he never talked about it.”
And Swizz ends by saying that he is comforted to know that DMX’s pain has disappeared forever and that he is at peace.
It’s super gripping … worth the watch.
