“Sweet man”? TikTok user removes the mirror from the NYC apartment and discovers the hidden secret

Mirror, mirror on the wall, is this apartment the most gruesome of all?

A New Yorker had a haunting surprise when she was looking for the cause of a trek – and found an abandoned apartment behind her mirror in the bathroom.

Samantha Hartsoe rocked TikTok with a shocking tour of the disturbing discovery, in a four-saga video saga posted on the platform on Wednesday and Thursday. Hartsoe’s first track announcing the disturbing news was viewed 7.5 million times.

“I’m in my New York Cirty apartment and it’s cold. No matter how high the heat, I’m cold,” she explained. Hartscoe said she felt cold air flowing from a notch in the door. Searching, she realizes that the cold air is coming out of the mirror.

“And I realize the mirror is moving,” Hartscoe said in shock.

In the second track, the New Yorker removes the mirror to reveal an unfinished room on the other side.

Her friend named John shows the face to two friends and asks her, “What if someone lives there now?”

“The weirdest thing about this is that they did not fill it in on either side of this hole,” Hartscoe said. “I need to go in and find out what’s on the other side of my bathroom.”

Wearing a face mask, gloves and sneakers – and a flashlight on her head and a self-defense hammer for a good mate – she jumped through the hole in the wall, as seen in the third clip posted Thursday morning.

In the last video, Hartscoe wandered around in the ‘whole other apartment’, though an unfinished one that didn’t quite look like code. Inside, she found trash cans and a water bottle as the only ‘signs of life’.

“It’s freezing in here!” she said. She also took the opportunity to lock the front entrance of the abandoned apartment.

The video then quickly turns back to Hartscoe at home, where she proudly declares that she ‘made it alive!

“My landlord is getting a really fun call tomorrow!” she jokes and slams the bathroom mirror back over the hole to the other unit.

“Cement this mirror and get everyone the next adventure,” she wrote.

Social media users were mostly shocked at what Hartscoe found, comparing the second space to the plot of a slashher “Candyman,” which was released in 1992 and would premiere a remake in August led by Jordan Peele.

‘I look at those women [sic] climbing through her apartment mirror in the bathroom on Tiktok knowing that Candyman is on the other side, ‘said one of the Twitter users wrote.

“Someone clearly did not watch CANDYMAN,” said one echo

‘Gen Z must apparently be watching Candyman,’ says another agreed.
