Suspect arrested for attacking Bill Clinton’s former private detective Jack Palladino

San Francisco police have arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery and assault that left Jack Palladino, the famed private investigator who previously worked with former President Bill Clinton, on life support this week, according to local reports.

Authorities were also looking for at least one other attacker, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Saturday night, citing a source familiar with the investigation. The 70-year-old gum shoe allegedly cracked his head on the sidewalk outside his home in Haight-Ashbury when predators ripped a new camera around his neck on Thursday.

Palladino’s stepson, Nick Chapman, had earlier said the known detective suffered a traumatic brain injury and was unlikely to survive his injuries.

It appears that the forecast did not improve on Saturday, according to the Chronicle report.

“He went out as he pleased, in a dramatic confrontation with the forces of evil,” his wife, Sandra Sutherland, told the newspaper.

Palladino and Sutherland became a private-eye team after meeting in the mid-1970s while allegedly investigating a district attorney in Long Island into alleged mistreatment of inmates in a New York jail.

Clinton hired Palladino in the early 1990s to discredit women who claimed to have engaged in extramarital affairs with them.

Palladino’s other well-known clients include Harvey Weinstein, Don Johnson, Kevin Costner, Robin Williams, Huey Newton and Snoop Dogg. He was earlier appointed by the Hearst family to help after their daughter Patty was abducted by the Symbionean Liberation Army and interrogated with survivors of the mass suicide of the Peoples Temple religious cult in 1978. He also helped build credibility. of a Big Tobacco whistleblower in the 1990s when the industry tried to smear him.

Weinstein hired Palladino during his investigation into sexual misconduct to track down his accused and journalists investigating his abuse.
