Superman’s Kid would have been the new Batman – / Movie

New Batman

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally available to watch on HBO Max, and while it seems almost impossible that Snyder could complete his larger vision for a planned five-film arc that would include Man of steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Justice League 2, en Justice League 3This does not stop people from asking the director about his plans for what would happen in those sequels.

And holy cow, did Snyder have a doozy of a plan that was boiled up? Justice League 3.

Warning: contains the following spoil for Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Some Essential Backstory

This film’s infamous Knightmare series features a battle-hardened and unlikely group of companions wandering through a post-apocalyptic wilderness: Batman, Jared Leto’s Joker, Deathstroke, Flash, Mera and Cyborg. At the edge of civilization, the group comes face to face with an evil Superman who, under the Anti-Life equation, is under the control of the supervillain Darkseid – and then Bruce Wayne wakes up. It was all a different dream … but also a look at a possible future.

“Darkseid is coming to earth,” Snyder explained to Vanity Fair how the story would have played out. Superman says to Batman, ‘Guard Lois. This is a war between me and Darkseid. If you can help me as a friend, keep Lois safe. ‘Lex tells Darkseid that the key to Superman’s weaknesses is killing Lois Lane. For whatever reason, Batman fails. Darkseid returns and kills Lois. Batman failed, he hesitated. They were in a quarrel. ‘Then Darkseid uses the Anti-Life equation to control Superman’s mind.

Snyder has already talked about how he wanted Bruce Wayne and Lois Lane to have a love affair while Superman was dead, but the studio would not allow him to go through with the subplot. If, however, he had his sense, Justice League 2 would have been that the post-apocalyptic team would have gone back to prevent Lois’ death, and Batman would have sacrificed his life to save her and the rest of reality.

When Batman’s sacrifice changes the timeline, “Superman not succumbing to the Anti-Life comparison, ”Snyder said. ‘Then Aquaman has the leading forces of Atlantis, the Diana leaders of Themyscira, and Superman and Flash have the leading forces of the last film. [humans] against Darkseid in a giant war. ”

Snyder’s Bonkers Plan for a New Batman

These are all very big things, but they pale in comparison to what could be the biggest revelation of this entire five-movie series: the identity of a new Batman.

If you watched Zack Snyder’s Justice League and think to yourself, ‘Wait a minute, what about that scene where Lois opens a drawer and has a pregnancy test in it? Why did it never bear fruit in the story? “It seems that this was only the first hint for a larger revelation of who would have put on the hood and cloak in a timeline in which Batman was no longer.

“It would be Lois and Superman’s son,” Snyder told Vanity Fair. “He has no powers, and then he will eventually become the new Batman. Twenty years later, on the anniversary of [Batman’s] dead they take the young Bruce Kent down to the Batcave and they say, ‘Your uncle Bruce would have been proud if you had done that.’ ‘

Whoa. The mind depends on the implications here, and it sounds like it would have been the finale of this whole arc, so we would not have seen any of the adventures of the Batman version. Would these Bruce Kent have superpowers as the descendants of a Kryptonian? Could that Batman have had heat vision and icing, and fly without help? Purists will probably mock Snyder’s idea here, but I have to say … I love it. It’s definitely a big swing, but it feels consistent with his approach to these characters, and it’s the type of decision the studio probably never would have allowed. I may not like all aspects of Snyder’s DC movies, but do I? I would absolutely have been on board with a bonkers move like this.
