‘Supergirl”s premiere for season 6 – ‘Superman & Lois’ kicks off

Super girl take her last flight this spring. The CW drama will return on Tuesday, March 30 (9 / 8c) for its sixth and final season, TVLine has learned.

Super girl will take over the time slot currently occupied Superman & Lois, which will take a short break due to a COVID-related production break that occurred earlier this summer. Superman & Lois will return on Tuesday, May 18 at 9pm with the rest of his first season. Supergirl will then return sometime this summer (exact date TBD) to complete its final season.

“To say that it was an honor to portray this iconic character would be a huge understatement,” Super girl star Melissa Benoist, said when the news about the final season in 2020 became known. ‘The incredible impact the program has had on young girls around the world has always left me humble and speechless. She also had that impact on me. She taught me strength that I did not know, to find hope in the darkest places and that we are stronger when we are united. What she stands for, pushes us all to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I am eternally grateful. ‘

Little is known about Super girl‘s last outing, though we can confirm that Azie Tesfai (also known as Kelly Olsen) co-wrote Episode 12, making her the first actor to write an episode in an Arrowverse series.

The CW recently announced the spring premiere for several other series, including the sixth season of co-Arrowverse series Legends of Tomorrow, which is becoming Bat‘s new run-up on Sundays. (Click here for an outline of the network’s spring schedule.)
