Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Mod adds Kingdom Hearts’ Sora

You may remember rumors late last year about a possible addition of Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora to the popular Nintendo video game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate it looks pretty meaty thanks to its compelling assets. It turns out that the mud Mastaklo actually took it out of a mod, and that the mod itself is now available to anyone subscribing to the mud’s Patreon. If you just want to see the Sora mod in action, the mud has shared a small game window, which you can see above, which shows what to expect.

Sora, if you are somehow unfamiliar, have been a favorite request for an additional fighter for years at this point. There was never a serious indication that he would of course ever reach the title, but Square Enix’s continued collaboration with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the form of Cloud Strife and Sephiroth, DLC fighters are spreading rumors that even more may be on the way.

As for the mod, the Sora model looks pretty good in action and uses the movement set of Shulk, an already existing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter. This is partly also how people finally determined that the Sora DLC rumors were a bunch of malarkey last year; an animated attitude of Sora was explicitly identical to Shulk, because as mentioned above, it was actually from this mod.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available for Nintendo Switch. The latest and greatest DLC fighter for the title, Sephiroth, was released in late December. You can check out all of our previous coverage of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate not here.
