You, me and everyone’s grandparents know that Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan will be the most amazing thing in the world. This is out of debate. And we recently discussed the opening of the official theme park website, which provides additional details, such as the delicious food that park goers can enjoy. However, it seems that one peculiarity has passed through in the design of the website: a Mario art version is used on the Super Nintendo World website.
Twitter user uJidow pointed out that an old Mario fan art created by the user is used on the website as part of the loading screen.
I love how Nintendo uses MY old ass that Mario delivers on their official Nintendo World website. https://t.co/mmJhWNi0n1# Nintendo # SuperNintendoWorld pic.twitter.com/Xp8cmfwte9

What probably happened is that the web designer of the website grabbed the image of Google and assumed that it was official because it was of such high quality. This is a pretty innocent mistake, all things considered, especially when you consider that an official Mario version exists that is almost identical to the trailer art accidentally used for the Super Nintendo World site. Check out the fan (left) and official (right) versions below.
Ideally, the Super Nintendo World website should be updated to exchange the fan art for the official art. We’ll just have to wait and see.
