Super Mario Bros. 35 gives 350 Platinum points to people for the murder of Goombas

Perform one, then you’re good for the cash reward

Super Mario Bros. 35 is still going on, and Nintendo is trying to get people in the free game again (with Switch Online, for the one person who will point out that it is not ‘free’ in the comments!) affair with events. While anticipating the impending expiration date on March 31 (still can’t believe it), you can dive in and kill Goombas for pleasure and profit.

All you have to do to get credit is kill just one Goomba game, but collectively everyone has to wipe out 350 million of it. The event is actually now running until Monday 1 March at 22:59 PT. You can find the full details below just to be sure you are good to go!

This is actually the second opportunity that bonus platinum provides to My Nintendo members. Just recently, Nintendo held a very similar activity that also earned people 350 points; it only involved Bowser being killed earlier.

Super Mario Bros. 35 2nd World Counting Challenge [Nintendo]

For the 2nd World Count Challenge, players will have to defeat 350 million Goombas in the Super Mario Bros. 35 Special Battle and 35-Player Battles held between February 22, Monday 23:00 PT and March 1, Monday 22:59 PT. If the goal is reached, all participating accounts that have defeated one Goomba at least once during the event period will receive 350 Platinum points ** that can be used in the My Nintendo Rewards program.
