The Hillsborough County Department of Health in Florida on Wednesday released its preliminary report on the Super Bowl-related COVID-19 cases … with chief epidemiologist. Michael Wiese the announcement of the case levels was just ‘a little higher’ compared to the rest of the state.

Super Bowl host committee president and CEO Rob Higgins says more than 280,000 fans and workers participated in the game and related activities … but only 1 in 4,700 participants reported a positive test for COVID-19.
During the same time, the health department. reported 1 in every 99 citizens in the country tested positive for COVID-19.
“Clearly and simply, our joint task has been to work together to reduce risks, and the results shared today show that this is what happened,” Higgins said. “The Super Bowl was not a super-distributor.”
