Street Fighter Se Chun Li Spinning Bird Kicks the Can in Stop Motion Video

YouTuber Kenta “Animist” Shinohara uploaded a new stop motion video featuring Chun Li from Street Fighter. Animist uses his posable figures, camera talents and editing skills to bring lifeless objects to life. In addition, he made a video showing the production behind the scenes.

In addition to rigs and figures, Animist also uses effects after processing to impact the shots. In particular, Chun Li’s classic special movements of the street fighter series like Spinning Bird Kick and Kikosho get a little more flair. The creator’s meticulous attention to detail in the final cut is impressive. Not only does he reproduce positions directly from the games, but he also captures small details like the camera zooming out to keep fighters in the frame as they jump. There’s a comic twist we don’t want to spoil, so check out the stop motion briefly below.

Animist also uploaded an equally detailed video recording of the recording. It covers everything from the unboxing of the street fighter Chun Li is recording the editing and rendition of the final track. His blog post also explains how he added effects after processing such as the flame animation using software tools. Festival lovers and creators should not share Animist’s techniques in the video below.

In addition to Chun Li, Animist has also uploaded many stop-motion shorts with different starring roles street fighter characters. We were big fans of the Sakura and Ryu video, though his Kirby video may be his magnum opus.
