Streaming Service Crackle to premiere five-part documentary on Nintendo’s history next month

The streaming service Crackle premieres a five-part documentary series Play with Power: The Nintendo Story on March 1st.

According to Deadline, this series was written and directed by Jeremy Snead and was executive produced (and told, as far as it goes) by Sean Astin (also known as Samwise from The Lord of the Rings).

It tells the ‘vast story’ of the ‘mysterious’ Japanese company and features interviews with individuals such as former Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aimé, CEO of Xbox Phil Spencer, former Sega of America CEO Tom Kalinske, Atari’s co-founder Nolan Bushnell , Ron Judy, co-founder of NoA, and more.

Snead has previously worked on a number of video games and television projects, saying the production and directing of his latest series has been a lifelong ambition as an artist, gamer and filmmaker.

Astin adds to this – noting how he thinks this five-part journey ‘will open up the world of video games and this legendary company in a way most people have never seen before’.

Each episode of Play with Power: The Nintendo Story will be made available on Crackle at the beginning of next month. Will you watch? Leave a comment below.
