Streamer Average Harry Accuses Twitch Of Hypocrisy

Streamer Average Harry was given a permanent ban after it came to light that his account was created before the age of 13, after which Twitch was accused of hypocrisy as other streamers with similar accounts were treated differently.

Twitch informed AverageHarry about the possibility of vacating his current account, as he was 13 at the time of creation, which is contrary to their terms. Fast forward two years, he is now 15, which is insufficient for Twitch to abandon him with the account, rather they asked him to recreate an account and start over which left him in tears than all the trouble that he has done for the past two years is going to go in vain.

The minimum criteria for becoming a partner:

  • Complete the Path to Partner achievement to show a great, engaging engagement with other services.
  • Broadcast content that complies with our Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and DMCA Guidelines.
  • Those who complete Path to Partner should be able to maintain the criteria set out in the performance on a consistent basis.

However, the report mentions that these are the “minimum criteria” and that they are looking for more things in a spreader before increasing it from Affiliate to Partner status. One of the things Twitch is looking for is the age that AverageHarry is short.

After being denied a partnership, Twitch had already made him aware of this, but the controversy arose when it came to light that another popular streamer in TommyInnit had received a different treatment as his report was created when he 11 was. A Redditor points this out to us as we expose the hypocrisy on the part of Twitch.

Now it’s up to Twitch to make their platform fair to all or to keep their reputation as polluted as it is now. There is no doubt that Harry’s case was judged unfairly. With the recent information coming to light, Twitch is being blown away by fans about the difference in their treatment. The most reasonable outcome is to give Harry back his account and restructure their statutes.
