Earlier today, Strate of Rage 4 developer Lizardcube shared a beautiful mock-up for his concept of a Garou: Mark of the Wolves prosecute. I want it to be so bad.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves was first released to arcades in 1999 as the last game in SNKs Fatal Fury franchise for King of Warriors it completely absorbed. An official sequel was planned at some point, but never materialized. In fact, the ‘Boss Fur’ seen in the remake of Lizardcube is from the old concept art released by SNK in 2016.

There is no indication that anyone is really working on it Garou: Mark of the Wolves 2, but King of Fighters XIV director Yasuyuku Oda is a joke answer to Lizardcube’s tweet, so I think anything is possible. All I know is that a Garou revival inspired by the aesthetics of Strate of Rage 4 will be incredibly cool.
