Steve Martin announces on Twitter that he has received a vaccination for COVID-19: ‘Thank you science’

The father of the bridal star revealed that he received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 in New York on Sunday and praised the ‘smooth as she’ operation of the service.
When he went on Twitter, he wrote: ‘Good news / bad news. Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75. Ha! The operation in NYC was smooth as she was (sorry about the cliché @ BCDreyer!) And was perfectly presented by the U.S. Army and National Guard. Thank you all and thank you science. ‘

When asked by a follower how he received the vaccine, the 75-year-old actor describes the exact process he used to make an appointment.
“I logged on-line via a NYC dot gov website (sorry, I did not have the exact website) and waited in line at the Javits Center,” Martin wrote.
Other Hollywood stars also received their vaccine.
Lady Judi Dench was delighted with her COVID vaccine because it was nice to see people in the next town, even though they were a great distance from her.

To make it public: the actor revealed the news via his official Twitter account, where he thanked the U.S. military and national guard for dealing with the logistical side of things.

Pro tips: Martin responded to a fan who wanted more information about the vaccines by describing the registration process and remarked that he had to wait in line to receive his vaccination.

The 86-year-old actress let everyone know she was vaccinated when she sat down for an interview with BBC News last week.
She said: ‘I had one last Thursday. What was nice though was that it was in the next town, and you know, even though they were at a great distance and I could not see well, I waved to a lot of people that I thought I knew, that I sure is I did, which was at a great, great distance. It was terribly well organized. ‘
And singer Tony Bennett also had his COVID-19 vaccine.
The 94-year-old singer posted on Twitter this week that he received the first dose of his coronavirus vaccine as he encouraged others to record it as well.

He tagged the World Health Organization and wrote: ‘I received the first dose of Covid 19 vaccine this week and it’s going well and encourages you to do the same! @WHO.’
Martha Stewart also received her first dose and shared a short video to her Instagram account to let her fans know she’s doing everything right.
The 79-year-old also writes a long message in the caption to show her 3.5 million followers that she is grateful for the vital workers who are tirelessly trying to put an end to the global pandemic.
‘I am so proud and grateful for the doctors, nurses and medical staff who are blown away by the red tape and the confusion of the distribution of these very important vaccines … Here is a promotion of science and a heartfelt thank you to those working on the vaccines, ‘she wrote.
