WWE has not had a live audience since March … but that will soon change Stephanie McMahon tell TMZ Sport WWE plans to attend fans at WrestleMania 37 !!
McMahon joined the TV program “TMZ Sports” (airs every night on FS1) … where she announced to WWE that they will have an audience at the World Cup in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 10 and 11.
“I’m excited and excited because this is hopefully the first opportunity to attend our fans again,” McMahon said.
“This is the current plan. Ticket information is obviously not available yet, as we are still trying to figure out how it is going.”
McMahon tells us that WWE is watching the Super Bowl (February 7, also at RJS in Tampa) … for tips on how to make sure the massive event takes place without any problems.
‘We learn a lot [the NFL] logistics, etc., and really best practices, what works, what does not work. But man, we can not wait to come in and for two nights really rock that pirate ship. ‘
FYI, it’s been 316 days (Monday Night Raw, March 9) since the wrestling organization had live fans in the building.
Yet plans can change … and McMahon emphasizes WWE’s top priority is the health of all involved.
“Working with the local organizing committee, all the health officers, health and safety, are natural in the first place,” says Stephanie.
“For our fans, for our artists, for the employees, for the staff who work the building, there are many different logistical issues to be determined, but hopefully it will all work out, and this will be the first WWE event we bring. actually the WWE universe personally back together, and I can not wait. ‘
As for the exact number of fans they intend to concede … Stephanie says WWE has a plan but is not ready to release the figure at this time.
For the sake of comparison, WWE had about 100,000 fans at WM 33 in AT&T Stadium in 2016 (WWE goes back to Texas for WM 38).
It is clear that the number will be much smaller in April. But eventually people will be there!
There is more … we also talked to Stephanie about it Rob Gronkowski AND Tom Brady.
Gronk is the former 24/7 Champion – and host of Mania from last year – so we asked McMahon if a cameo from Rob and his GOAT QB teammate was in the cards.
The full interview with Stephanie McMahon will be broadcast tonight on FS1 !!
