Steph Curry’s frustration boils over in Warriors-Clippers’ second half

Steph Curry was not happy on Thursday night, and he let his teammates know.

An animated Curry addressed the Warriors in a second half with Golden State leaving the Los Angeles Clippers with two figures left in both teams’ first game after the All-Star break.

His sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, was able to tell how the two-time NBA MVP’s teammates felt.

Curry’s frustration was clear on Thursday and with good reason. He spoke on Wednesday about the Warriors taking their tough schedule out of the break, starting with Thursday’s game against the Clippers.

“Tough series of games, but I think it can help to hold on and understand how important each possession is, especially at the start of the game tomorrow against a very good team,” Curry said in a video conference with reporters said. “We are excited about the opportunity, especially after sitting out the last two games for the entire break.”

The Warriors did not have the strong start that Curry envisioned. After trailing by just two points at the end of the first quarter, the Warriors led 59-43 to the first half. With rookie center James Wiseman, Golden State trailed 104-68 toward the end of the third quarter.

Curry remained patient throughout the Warriors’ up-and-down season, realizing the importance of balancing winning and player development. For the first time this season, it seems his patience is starting to thin.
