Steelers look at major grid recovery in 2022

It was an extraordinary off-season for every team in the NFL. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, they had no money in the off-season, but they found a way to make enough moves to make a competitive football team this season.

But the salary cap and roster outlook for next season look very different. Just look at all these free agencies the Steelers have in 2022.

The Steelers will have well over $ 100 million in salary branch, but a big list of guys to decide if they want to bring it back or not. The big names on this list are linebacker TJ Watt, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and tighthead Eric Ebron. It’s a shame the Steelers can’t extend Watt this offseason, but the money is just not there.

But the big takeaway from these numbers is that Pittsburgh is just trying to kick through the 2021 season and be competitive and only inflate the team in 2022. The money will be there and there will be a lot of marginal players who can just let them go.

What do you think? Should Steelers fans expect big changes in the roster next season? Let us know in the comments.
