Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster stands by ‘the Browns is the Browns’ comments after game card loss

The Cleveland Browns playoffs Sunday night were central to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster, caused by his infamous remark “The Browns are the Browns” earlier this week, but the fourth-year receiver apparently stayed in the comments even after lost 48-37.

After leading Cleveland to his first game since 1995, Browns full-back Baker Mayfield rushed back to the locker room and shouted, ‘The Browns are the Browns.’

When he was in the locker room, Jarvis Landry mocked Smith-Schuster’s popular “Corvette, Corvette” TikTok dance while the rest of the team treated the song as their unofficial celebration song.

Smith-Schuster was singled out by the Browns after first making himself a target that led to the game map round when he told reporters he was not worried about playing Cleveland.

“I think they’re still the same Browns teams I play every year,” he said at the time. “I think they are nameless gray faces. They have some good players in their team, but at the end of the day I do not know. The Browns are the Browns.”

After being proven wrong Sunday night, Smith-Schuster did not comment, but said the Browns had a good game.

“I do not regret saying what I said,” he told his news conference. ‘I said’ the browns are the browns’. They came out and played a hell of a game. ‘

“There were games where you lose, you win and today was not our night,” Smith-Schuster continued. “Hopefully the same Browns show up against the next opponent, and they go there and do the same thing as tonight and hold a hell of a game.”

While not the most graceful concession speech, the Browns will happily head to the AFC Division Round, where they will tackle defending Super Bowl champion, the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
