Steelers four-round 2021 NFL spot

Today we are going to look at the good, the bad and the ugly of a new four-round mockery by Chad Reuter of NFL.com. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a laundry list of NFL draft needs, and ultimately it’s going to come down to how the front office arranges the needs into a very deep draft.

In the first round, Reuter defeated the Steelers who tackled former USC attacking tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker. Vera-Tucker’s experience of both the guard and the tackle would make Pittsburgh enticing. There are technically better attacks on the board, but as an everyday man with a high ceiling, Vera-Tucker makes sense here.

If he goes to the second round, the Steelers go a little out of the text with Florida cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. If the second round plays out that way, it can be assumed that things went wrong for the Steelers in free agency with Cam Suttin and Mike Hilton. Pittsburgh has not had much success with setting up corner rugby, but it may be a need.

Stanford center Drew Dalman is the Steelers pick in the third round. This is where things take a turn for me. I do not see Dalman as an NFL starter with his lack of power and technique. There are much better options for the Steelers in this round.

Finally, in the fourth round, the Steelers select Oregon fullback Jermar Jefferson. Like Dalman in the third round, this choice does not feel like a good use of the choice in such a deep concept. There is no denying that the Steelers want to set up a running rugby, but Jefferson is almost entirely remarkable in any facet of his game.
