At the end of the rat year, the year of the ox begins – and so it’s the start of Steam’s lunar New Year sale. Between now and February 15, thousands of games will be discounted on Valve’s store window. Note that the actual Chinese New Year does not even start tomorrow, but it is nice to celebrate a little early (especially if you are buying games at the celebration of lotsa that you may have missed cheaply).
If your bags are still a little light from last month’s Steam Winter Sale, it’s OK, you can just check out the Lunar New Year Sale for the beautiful Ox-themed artwork. There are free animated Ox stickers to buy from the shop every day, if you like, but the background art alone is a huge spread of pink and purple.
After a quick look around, there are a handful of interesting offers. Everyone’s favorite game of 2021, Hades, for example, is a 20% discount. Outer Wilds, everyone’s favorite game of the previous year is 40% off. We will no doubt have a post tomorrow with more comprehensive recommendations.
