STATE ISLAND, NY – If you saw a spacecraft last weekend, it was not ET coming back to see Elliot.
On Sunday, March 14, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched a new set of Starlink Internet satellites into orbit. Early ascenders who, as in Florida as far as Maine, could see the unusual face.
Janice Ellison of Grymes Hill spotted the strange spaceship on Sunday morning.
‘I was sitting in my living room reading my email on my phone. It was still dark, 6:15 p.m. Janice remarked, ‘I happened to look up through the window and there it was! I quickly turn the camera on my phone and take the video. I thought it was a meteorite and searched for information online but until later in the day found nothing. “I went to NASA’s Twitter feed and saw that it’s SpaceX.”
‘I was excited outside myself when I saw it! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I am delighted that I was in the right place at the right time! ”
