State creates map to help patients find COVID-19 vaccine provider

HOUSTON The pressure to get the COVID-19 vaccine is now moving in high gear, so the next challenge is to find a supplier, a hospital or medical clinic or even a pharmacy that will give you the vaccine .

To help us all, the Texas Department of Health Services has put together an interactive map that makes it easy to find a provider in your area.

To use it, simply start by clicking on the map of the Houston area.

The map will enlarge with each click closer and closer to the metro area.

If you are close enough to see the different cities and suburban areas, just hold over your part of the city and then click on one of the dots in your area.

Up appears on the provider’s location, along with the phone number to call to book an appointment, the provider’s address and what type of service provider you are visiting, pharmacy, doctor’s office, medical clinic or hospital.

The website even tells you how many doses of the vaccine the provider has given.

Now that you know where to go, it’s important that you call the place before entering.

You need to schedule an appointment with the provider, you can not just walk in and get vaccinated.
