The Indiana Jones Betha game announced today will not affect the development of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines has confirmed.
Hines also says Bethesda’s Todd Howard will continue to focus on directing Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, despite being linked to the Indiana Jones game as an executive producer. In response to fans on Twitter who were concerned about the number of projects Howard is undertaking simultaneously, Hines explained Howard’s priorities in Bethesda.
“Todd is currently EP on many [Bethesda Game Studios] and other projects, such as the Fallout TV show. “His main focus remains the direction of the upcoming Starfield and TES6 matches, which will not be affected by today’s news,” said Hines.

Starfield, first announced at E3 2018, is Bethesda’s next big project after Fallout 76, though the details were very sparse. Howard himself said in September that “it’s really going to be a good hype for a game no one has seen.”
That’s true – apart from a very cryptic announcement, Xbox has not released much about Starfield yet. We know that it’s been developed for over ten years, that it’s a single player sci-fi game, and that it could be an exclusive Xbox / PC as a result of Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda.
As for The Elder Scrolls 6, it will be released to Starfield at some point, and as such we have even fewer details about it. Like Starfield, it’s unclear whether the next Elder Scrolls game will hit the Sony and Nintendo consoles, but Xbox chief financial officer Tim Stuart has suggested that Bethesda games ‘first or better or best’ on Xbox platforms will be.
