Stardew Valley: the announcement photos of the board game

“In 2018, Eric Barone and Cole Medeiros, introduced online by their mutual friend Matt Griffin, played a co-op game from Stardew Valley and discussed the idea of making a board game from Stardew Valley,” the announcement reads. “They did not know exactly what it would look like, but they knew that Stardew had all the components of an amazing board game.”

After two years of refinement and play testing, which spent everything between the development time for the video game, the couple officially had a board game.

Like the original video game, players work together to grow crops, raise animals, build their farm, and gather resources from across the valley. Players can also make friends with the famous residents and earn hearts to reveal secret goals. To win, you must restore the Valley to its original grandeur and prevent Joja Mart from renovating everything. The game can be played with 1 – 4 players, with an estimated 45 minutes of playing time per player.

To do all this, players must reach four ‘Granda Goals’ and repair all the community center rooms before a season ticket is exhausted.

The game, which sells for $ 55, has a Stardew Valley board to play on, tiles (for items such as crops, ores, buildings, animals, etc.), numerous maps for things like events, epic items, and mine levels. , gold tokens, and more.

ConcernedApe notes to fans that the board game is meant to evoke the long-lasting nature of Stardew Valley gaming, so while designed to be easy to play, it will be very complicated, so check out the official rulebook to see if it your jam.

ConcernedApe also says that once the first edition is sold out, future prints will depend on the demand that still exists.

“If there is more demand for it, we will definitely do more pressure surveys and maybe expand slowly … we just test the waters for now and see what the reaction is,” ConcernedApe wrote.

The board game Stardew Valley is almost certainly popular with fans of the original game. We here at IGN have declared it as one of the best Nintendo Switch games, and the original video game has now sold over 10 million copies on six platforms. ConcernedApe also has two new projects, both of which will join Stardew Valley in different ways.
