With a split-screen co-op, a new island to explore and load more content, this is the ‘biggest update yet’
After his PC debut in December, Stardew valley expanded the significant content update of 1.5 on consoles today. If you’ve been a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One player, today’s the day. It’s big.
The Stardew Valley 1.5 update for Switch, Xbox and PlayStation is not available and will be available on all platforms within the next few hours.

Update 1.5 includes a bunch of new stuff like Willy’s boat that allows you to recover and ride to Ginger Island, another tough pit to face new enemies, a new NPC to befriend, Golden Walnuts to collect , the “beach farm” layout, a bunch of new items and machines like the Geode crusher, more fish to catch, extra furniture items, further character events, the ability to move your bed, and swimming ducks.
Especially for console gamers, local multiplayer with split screen is such an important feature. Tell the fam.
There are simply too many add-ons to get it done right (check out the little filled patch notes when you’re ready), so these are the highlights. It did not take too long compared to the timing for updating the computer, but I will not lie: I was bad for collaboration on a split screen. My weekend plans are being made.
