Star Wars: Republic commando looks like it’s about to switch

Republic Command

The 2005 release of LucasArts Star Wars: Republic Command appears to be on its way to the Nintendo Switch.

Known data mines @ NWPlayer123 noticed an update from the Nintendo server apparently confirming that Aspyr Media Republic is publishing Commando on the Switch. Aspyr is the same team that has been transferred Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Racer.

Stars Wars: Republic Commando is a first-person group-based shooter that was originally exclusive to the Xbox and PC and gained some cult following. This is, of course, the first time it has ever been released on a Nintendo platform.

If we get a more official update on this, let us know for sure. In the meantime, tell us in the comments if this would be a Star Wars game that you would be interested in playing on Switch.
