updating the game for the next generation of consoles. Although it’s not a next version of the game – it does not add features or new technology – the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Fallen Order can use the significantly more powerful new console hardware. next-generation optimization improves Fallen Order’s frame rates, dynamic resolution ranges, and post-processing resolution, though the changes do depend on the hardware you use.For Xbox Series S, the only change is the frame rates, which have been increased from 45 FPS to 60 FPS. On Xbox Series X, ‘Performance Mode’ now reaches 60 FPS and can scale the dynamic resolution between 1080p and 1440p. In ‘Normal mode’, the post-processing is increased to 4K resolution, and the dynamic resolution can vary between 1512p and 2160p.
More than on PlayStation 5, the frame rates have been increased from 45 to 60 FPS. Unlike the Xbox version, there are no normal / performance modes; instead, post-processing is set at 1440p, and dynamic scale has been eliminated in favor of a closed version resolution of 1200p (previously the game was scaled between 810p and 1080p).
The update is now available and will be applied to Fallen Order the next time you play the game. Read the news about the renewed Lucasfilm Games banner, which is the trademark under which all future Star Wars games will be released.
