Star Wars Battlefront II is the free version of this week in the Epic Games store and many players seem to have taken advantage of the offer.
The servers of the game on a computer were crowded with newcomers, so much so Electronic Arts had to address the issue and enlarged the servers to meet the newfound demand, which was apparently ‘incredible’.

You can add the game (in the Celebration Edition, which contains many customization items as outlined below) to your Epic Games store library until Thursday, January 21st at 5pm; thereafter, Galactic Civilizations III will take its place as the next freeboat. As a reminder, after claiming Battlefront II, you will need to link your Epic Games account to your Origin one, and the game will eventually be downloaded by Origin anyway.
