STALKER 2 provides support for 4K and Ray Tracing, and will be coming to Xbox Game Pass Day One

GSC Game World, developer of STALKER 2, announced that the long-awaited sequel to the Xbox Game Pass will arrive on the day of launch, and that it supports both ray tracing and 4K resolution technology. In a new update on the Xbox Wire blog, GSC said ‘you can be confident that the game will come to Xbox Game Pass on the first day. ‘

Furthermore, the studio outlined the current progress of the game. “We are making rapid progress, including Xbox Series X | S versions. The goal is to deliver the highest quality product possible on every platform for which it is announced. With fast SSD, RTX support (both Series X and S) and 4K resolution (Series X), we are pleased to see how STALKER 2 is the ultimate experience we initially promised. ‘Based on the car trailer released in December last year, it seemed like it was guaranteed that STALKER 2 would print the graphic envelope. It’s nice to have now a guarantee that ray tracing will be available in all formats, and 4K on both Xbox Series X and PC.

Eventually, the report also revealed that STALKER 2’s protagonist has the code name Skif. Although nothing further has been revealed about Skif, GSC promises that “His actions will form the new major chapter in the history of the Zone.”

Little else is known about STALKER 2, but you can check out the first screenshot and the original Xbox announcement, as well as how the studio boss announced STALKER 2 without consulting anyone.
