Stadiums receive ‘more than 100 matches’ this year

FIFA 21, judgment, and a slew of cute platform players on the way

Google assures owners that Stadia, despite its somewhat rocky start, still has the full support of the company, with ‘more than 100 games’ currently available for the cloud gaming service in the course of 2021.

“We are delighted to continue to bring great games from the best developers to our players in the Stadia store,” reads an official Stadia forum post. “Over the next few weeks and months, players can expect to see everything from action-packed RPGs to competitive cooperative titles and nimble platform players. […] These games are just an example of the more than 100 games that will be added to the Stadia store in 2021 to share, experience and play with our players. ‘

Among the titles set for Stadia’s immediate future is Electronic Arts FIFA 21 (March 17), Team Yakuza’s detective fighter Judge (April 23), and Cradle Games science RPG Hellpoint. A number of cute, cartoon-like platform titles, including WayForward’s, are also listed Shantae releases Half-Genie Hero and Risky’s revenge, PixelHive is fun Kaze and the Wild Maskers, and LiquidBit’s competitive multiplayer title Killer Queen Black.

The report follows Stadia’s recent announcement that it will close its in – house game development studios a little over a year after the launch of the service. Stadia aims to focus on delivering third-party software that is new and old to its user community, publishing more games each month.

I think there’s life in the old … erm … another new dog.
