St. Vincent Details New album Daddy’s House, share video for new song: watch

After the news appeared on street posters, St. Vincent officially announces her new album Daddy’s house and shared his first single, ‘Pay Your Way in Pain’. The album will be released on May 14 via Loma Vista. Watch the video “Pay Your Way in Pain” along with the artwork and playlist from the album below.

According to a press release, St. Vincent starts writing Daddy’s house songs in the winter of 2019, about the time her father was released from prison after being jailed for nine years. In a new interview with Laura Snapes for The guardian, it was revealed that the title track of the album was inspired by St. Vincent taking her father out of jail.

Annie Clark co-produced her new album with Jack Antonoff. In addition to Clark and Antonoff, the album features performances by Cian Riordan, Evan Smith, Sam KS, Greg Leisz, Daniel Hart, Michael Leonhard, Lynne Fiddmont and Kenya Hathaway.

The last St. Vincent Studio Album was 2017’s MASSAGE. Clark then shared several versions of the album, including an acoustic version of 2018 (Mass Education) and a 2019 remix version titled Nina Kraviz presents Masseduction Rewired.
