St. Paul, Minnesota triple murder: Three people, including a child and teenager, died in Minnesota

Officers arrived at a home in the St. Louis neighborhood around 3 p.m. Paul in Payne-Phalen responded, where they found three people who were apparently injured, the St. Paul Police Department said in a news release.
Two individuals, an adult woman in her thirties and a woman in her early teens, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third person – a boy between 8 and 12 years old – was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, a spokesman for St. Mike Ernster told reporters.

“It’s hard because children are dead. It’s also hard because one of our officers was here an hour before this call. He was called here by a concerned family member from outside the state who wanted us to take care of the welfare of the alleged “victim had to investigate in this. home,” Ernster said.

Police visited the home once more before Saturday for a welfare check after receiving a call from someone concerned that the woman might be in danger and possibly involved in a domestic situation, Ernster added.

Officials are investigating who was at the scene during the shooting, as well as the circumstances surrounding the triple murder.

The police medical examiner will work to identify the victims and determine their cause of death.

“This is a senseless tragedy that has left us all sad – as police officers, as people, as members of the community,” the St. Louis police chief said. Paul, Todd Axtell, said in a statement. “Such moments are difficult and painful.”

Axtell added that “investigators and officers will continue to work until they find the person responsible.”
