The country’s health department has been offering COFID-19 vaccines for several days on a first-come-first-served basis. As a result, hundreds of people are desperate to leave the vaccine in their cars for miles at the department’s office in San Sebastian View, outside of US 1.
After many people camped in their cars overnight to make sure they would get a spot in the queue, the health department decided on Saturday to hand out 600 bracelets and show everyone else away.
On Sunday – the department’s last day of the first vaccination – 250 are expected to be vaccinated at the health department. Delegates restricted the line overnight so that only the first 250 in line could get the vaccine. All the others were turned away. In addition, cars were parked in the provincial government’s complex parking lot instead of US 1.
“No matter how hurried it was, now we have some peace of mind,” Tim Willits, who arrived at 6pm on Saturday, told News4Jax on Sunday.
Hbernhard Clever, who arrived at 5.30pm on Saturday, said on Sunday: ‘I think the organization was better than yesterday. It’s just overwhelming because a lot of people who came want the shots. ”
Conrad said the slots for Monday had already been filled by the 200 people on the health department’s waiting list. The health department said that once the people were vaccinated, it was the end of the department’s initial allocation of 3,000 vaccines.
The health department says 250 people will be vaccinated today on a first-come, first-served basis, 200 will only be reserved for the country by appointment tomorrow and that is the end of the 3,000 vaccinations granted to the country.
